Meet Ilyssa Bass, PhD

Ilyssa is passionate about helping parents appreciate and connect to their most difficult children. She trained as a clinical psychologist at the University of California, Santa Barbara and studied developmental psychology at Stanford University. In addition to her academic credentials, and perhaps more important, Dr. Bass is a mother of four unique and wonderful children. Her personal journey as a parent of a child with multiple hidden differences gives her deep compassion for the complexity of parenting children who the popular parenting books are just not written for. Dr. Bass lives and works in private practice in Jerusalem.

In this FREE series, we will cover:

  • How to get to the root of your child's challenging behavior
  • How to shift your reactions to your child's intense behavior
  • How to handle intense behavior in the moment
  • The 5 biggest mistakes I see mothers making when it comes to trying to stop difficult behavior
  • The 4-part framework for addressing all challenging behavior including exploding, melting down, over-talking, intense distractibility, sulking or other high-stress behaviors.
  • An introduction to A Crash Course in Parenting Complex Kids, a new course to support Jewish parents of high-stress, complex, differently-wired kids!
